Welcome to the “TheDashDiet.net” website! Our mission is to supply you, the reader with the best possible information on the dash diet and tips on living a healthy lifestyle. The Dash Diet is considered a Balanced diet. The goal is to promote a healthy eating pattern that also helps with preventing hypertension & diabetes. Nutrients like potassium, calcium, protein, and fiber are important to fighting high blood pressure. You don’t have to track each one. Just focus the foods you’ve always been told to eat (fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy), while shunning those we’ve grown to love (calorie- and fat-laden sweets and red meat). Top it all off by cutting back on salt, and voilà!

Started the Dash way of life last week. Not sure if I’m following it correctly (It’s so close to Adkins and South Beach). I lost 5# the first week and I’m doing the two week no fruit or starch. Your web site looks very interesting and hope to learn alot.
I’d like to lose some weight but most important is to reduce my chances of getting type 2 diabetes.
Both my parents had this. So wish me luck.
Wow! that’s great Susan! I will be releasing a book soon with a “fool proof” dieting schedule, once it’s finished, i’ll email it to you personally and you can tell me if it helps! And i totally have faith in you! you can do this!
I have been on the DASH diet for 2 weeks. I have lost 8lbs. I am starting to add in the fruit and whole grains tomorrow. I really like it, I have been doing some creative cooking. I made kale chips today…. they were great!
Peggy that’s fantastic. I’m very happy for you! i recommend trying to Kale Recipe with Turkey Bacon. I’ve literally become addicted to it! The recipe is deliciously healthy and i feel great afterwards!
I am waiting for WEEK 2 Meal Scheduling… please email asap. I need to go grocery shopping
Want to really get into dash diet. My husband and I are both 66 and need to get some weight off. Dr has pushed dash for years so after all the regaining of my weight on other plans I need a new life style. Looking forward to learning about dadh.
I start tomorrow following a strict dash plan. I’m scared yet determined to turn the beat around on this high blood pressure that I’ve never had before.
